I will be teaching a new class for Arlington Community Learning beginning on Monday, April 13 for four weeks 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. We will begin by blocking this free form straw hat, one that does not require an expensive hat block. Once your hat is shaped we will move on to hat trims and tracing your pattern for a cut and sewn cloche style hat while your straw dries. In subsequent classes you will learn how to finish and trim your straw hat as well as your cut and sewn cloche.
